Position Title: Volunteer Operations Coordinator
Location: Remote
Duration: Minimum 3 months commitment, with the possibility of extension
Role Overview:
As a Volunteer Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational functions of FarmSahel. You will work closely with the management team to ensure that our programs run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Communication:
- Develop and distribute regular newsletters to stakeholders, keeping them informed about our progress and impact.
- Maintain and update databases to track program outcomes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Represent FarmSahel at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
Volunteer Coordination:
- Manage and support volunteers for various projects, serving as their primary point of contact.
- Organize volunteer schedules and ensure all roles are filled for ongoing projects and activities.
- Monitor volunteer performance and provide regular feedback and evaluations.
- Organize online volunteer recognition events to acknowledge and celebrate volunteer contributions.
- Develop and implement volunteer retention strategies to ensure long-term engagement and commitment.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including filing, documentation, and correspondence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide support for event planning, logistics, and coordination, ensuring successful execution of our programs and activities.
